“Wild Wild Life” from the album True Stories, released in 1986
David Bryne is a mad genius. But he also knows how to have fun. “Wild Wild Life” perfectly combines those two elements of his personality. When you throw in the video, you get something profoundly happy.
And I haven’t even talked about the True Stories film Bryne made that goes with this album. It’s an amazing, weird little thing that is definitely worth 90 minutes of your time.
Unless, of course, you do not like Talking Heads. But that would be weird if you didn’t.
Anyway.
“Wild Wild Life” is one of those rare Talking Heads songs that can just get into your head and stay there for awhile. But it’s a great guest.
