Project 365 Day #123
“Bring it on Home to Me,” released in 1962
A love song with hints of gospel sounds is a weird thing to me. I’m not the only one. There is a classic episode of South Park about just the same concept. And though I am normally attracted to weird and unusual songs, the weirdness of this one is not what does it for me.
Instead, it’s the desperation, it’s the sadness, and it’s the melodious way in which Sam Cooke sings about such things.
