Blurry. I feel the same way about the 90s, Wyclef.

“Gone ‘Till November” by Wyclef Jean, featuring The New York Philharmonic

“Gone ‘Till November” from the album Wyclef Jean Presents The Carnival, released in 1997

Wyclef is a great storyteller. “Gone ‘Till November” proves that more than any of his other hits. And if you were alive and listening to music in the late 90s, chances are pretty high that you know there are many hits.

But “Gone ‘Till November” is more than just a hit. It’s a story about how dangerous life can be. It was inspired and appreciated by many songwriting greats (look it up, this is 100% true).

It’s short and somber but simultaneously possessed of an uplifting beat, almost as though it is a precursor to Outkast’s great “Hey Ya.”

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
