“Dance Hall Days” by Wang Chung
“Dance Hall Days” from the album Points on the Curve, released in 1983
I don’t know why, but I love this song. Is it about dancing with your significant other? Or is it about something more? Or is it about something else completely? Or is it all of the above and then some? Maybe it is just about being young and alive and unconcerned with the many, many problems we face as a society.
Isn’t that nice?
With a mix of distinct yacht rock brass and that weird 80s synth, “Dance Hall Days” is its own thing.
I, for one, have to respect that every time.
