Project 365 Day #304
“Clap For The Wolfman” from the album Road Food, released in 1974
I’m old enough to know that there was a time in American culture when radio DJs were famous. They were, like, superstars. This song is proof of that. A tribute to Wolfman Jack, a DJ whose career spanned over three decades, this song is a fun number that includes voiceovers from Wolfman Jack himself.
DJs were cool once, everyone. They really were. The Guess Who does not want us to forget. And maybe in that, they will help one day elevate the DJ to his rightful spot in pop culture again.
