“The Holiday” released in 2021
Though I like to focus on all of the joy that can come from Christmas, even that joy that mingles with the sadness of time’s passage, I also enjoy a solid sad song about the season. I have to remember that Christmastime isn’t always fun and games.
I have to remember that some people suffer from regret and depression this time of year. I have to remember that sometimes the times that are great for some are terrible for others.
“The Holiday” is a good song to remind everyone of this. Being alone on the holidays can suck. Bryce Vine reminds us all that we’ve all been there and we should all have a little empathy.
