“The Cover of Rolling Stone” from the album Sloppy Seconds, released in 1972

Every artist ever has had the same dream, maybe not the same exact dream, but it is a dream of recognition and success. For Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, this recognition and success comes in the form of gracing the cover of a Rolling Stone.

In a tongue-in-cheek, folksy anthem, they sing about how awesome it would be. And let me tell you, this song speaks to me. I get it, Dr Hook. I get it.
